Symptoms

Book to Bank Reconciliation is out of balance when processing a negative Deposit that is comprised of two Direct Journal Payments where one of the payments is a negative amount and the other payment is a positive amount. Since the Bank Statement transaction is associated to Statement Code 566, which is specified as DB (Debit), once the Bank Statement is reconciled to the negative Deposit, Book to Bank is negating both Payments under the Unbooked Payments page, resulting in a reconciliation difference.
