Symptoms
When changing a budget item that was previously even spread on a budget detail page, it leaves orphan rows in the PC_BUD_DETAIL table.
Replication step
- Added a new project and activity. Project Costing -> Project Definitions - > Define Project General Info.
- Added Cost Budget by clicking Project Budgeting under More.
- Add a new Budget Plan.
- Go To the Budget Detail page, Add a new budget item, and then do the Adjust by Amount. Populate an amount, click OK, and then Save the page.
- Do an Even Spread so that the budget amount gets distributed to budget periods. Review the PC_BUD_DETAIL table and the rows are populated correctly.
- Go Back to the Budget Adjustments by clicking on the icon next to Budget Item.
- Change the Budget Item and Save.
- Notice that this leaves an orphan row in the PC_BUDGET_ITEM table.
