2025 COD Outbound Files Are Created With the Wrong Schema Version, Resulting in Rejection of the Files at COD (Doc ID 3029525.1)

Symptoms

The COD outbound process for 2025 runs to success and creates outbound files. The outbound origination files and disbursement files are rejected by COD due to XML tags from schema 5.0a being used, specifically MiddleInitial instead of MiddleName and CPSTransactionNumber instead of FPSTransactionNumber.  The run controls used reference the current schema version 5.0b.  Manually changing the XML tags to MiddleName and FPSTransactionNumber before transmitting the files will allow the files to be accepted at COD.

The View COD data inquiry also shows schema version 5.0a.

The expectation is the outbound files will be created based on the run control settings.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Navigate to Financial Aid, File Management, COD Full Participant, Generate Direct Loan Data;
2. Select a run control;
3. Populate the run control Aid Year 2025, Schema Version 5.0b, and all careers;
4. Submit the process to the process scheduler;
5. Navigate to Financial Aid, File Management, COD Full Participant, View COD Data;
6. Select the Document ID created by Steps 1-4;
7. Note the Schema Version displayed is 5.0a.
