Goal
The PeopleSoft Absence Management (ABMGT) product is designed from the framework and rules processing of PeopleSoft Global Payroll Core (GP). The products are not interchangeable and there are GP features/elements which may not produce expected results when users attempt to configure for use with Absence Management.
This document is directed at those who use Absence Management as a standalone product, with or without conversion to Time and Labor and Payroll for North America. The intent is to explain the differences in configuration required when using Absence in this setting, as opposed to how Absence elements would be configured for a Global Payroll user.
