Symptoms
The future effective dated journal sources are still available for selection when creating a new journal.
Replication steps:
1. Create a Journal Source with the future dated effective date
Navigation: Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Common Definitions > Journals > Define Journal Source
2. Create a journal
Navigation: General Ledger > Journals > Journal Entry > Create/Update Journal Entries
3. Source created is shown and can be selected even if Effective Date is still on the future date
