ETL92: Apply Schedule For TL_PCH_TIME_FLU Doesn't Work Properly With Absences.
(Doc ID 3036862.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 23, 2024
Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Time and Labor - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Apply Schedule is not working properly on the fluid punch timesheet where an absence is already approved.
Using the 'Apply Schedule' button on a punch time sheet for employees with an already approved TRC linked absence will overwrite the absence row with punch time, but will keep approved status for the row.
If the 'Apply Schedule' button is pressed when TRC linked absence is on a split shift row then absence row is overwritten with the schedule keeping the approved status. Plus, the second split row is generated with the schedule and status = new.
Steps to Recreate:
Navigation: Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt > Payee Data > Maintain Absences > Create and Maintain Absences
1. Select and absence punch time reporter assigned to a Sat-Sun schedule.
2. Use Create and Maintain Absence to Report 8 hours absence (Vacation) on one day in the middle of period that requires approval.
3. Manager approves the Absence.
4. Verify the Absence on timesheet before and after clicking Apply Schedule. (Note after Apply Schedule, the row with already approved absence is overwritten by punch time when schedule is applied.)
5. For a second scenario, select a different employee with a split shit (i.e. having two split rows on Saturday or Sunday of the period). Then report absence for one of the days with the split rows.
6. Manager approves the Absence.
7. Verify the Absence on timesheet before and after clicking Apply Schedule. (Note: the absence row is overwritten with the schedule showing status = approved. Plus, the second split row is generated with the schedule with status = new).
