E-WF: Workflow Notify Button No Longer Automatically Populating Email Message Templates In PT8.61 (Doc ID 3036879.1)

Symptoms

Workflow users are used to entering a Journal, Requisition, or Purchase Order, clicking on the Notify button, and having a template containing a link to the journal filled out automatically. Then, they would just fill in the email address to send it to, and the system would generate and send the email.

After upgrading to PeopleTools (PT) 8.61, the popup no longer populates any information, and the template does not appear on the Share Option page. It appears the Notify button is using Push Notification setup outside of Workflow. The same behavior is observed when testing the Notify toolbar buttons on a component which has specific templates defined at:

PeopleTools > Workflow > Notifications > Notification Templates

Sample Replication
-------------------

1. Create a new Voucher, or a new approval workflow transaction.
2. Click on the Notify button.
3. Observe that the message template section is blank.
