EBI 9.2: Budget Status Column Will Always Display Blank at Online Classic and Fluid Billing WorkCenter for the ‘Invoices Not Integrated to GL’ Link (Doc ID 3038138.1)

Symptoms

If the Commitment Control functionality has been activated for the module of FIN Billing at the Installation Options set up level, whenever the Online Classic or Fluid Billing WorkCenter functionality is used, the system will include the BUDGET STATUS column for the 'Invoices Not Integrated to GL' link, (Online Classic Page BI_HDR_APP_GRID, Fluid User Interface Page BI_HDR_APP_GRID_FL).

However, this column is always displayed as blank.

The logic states that the Budget Status of a FIN Billing Invoice will be within Record PS_BI_ACCT_ENTRY, but this Table will always be empty until the Load GL Interface process, (BILDGL01 SQR Report) is run. Once this process completes, and the Table in question is populated, the transaction will have been integrated into FIN General Ledger module, which automatically will exclude the Invoice from being listed in the ‘Invoices Not Integrated to GL’ link in Billing WorkCenter.

REPLICATION STEPS:

     1.- Log into the FSCM Online Application as a Billing User.
     2.- Navigate To: Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Install > Installation Options > Products
     3.- Select the Billing check-box from the Commitment Control section.
     4.- Save the changes.
     5.- Navigate to: Billing > Billing WorkCenter
     6.- Under My Work section, select the link named 'Invoices Not Integrated to GL'.
     7.- PROBLEM: The column Budget Status will always display as blank.
     8.- Go to the Credit to Cash Operations Fluid Homepage.
     9.- Click on the Billing WorkCenter tile.
     10.- Under My Work section, select the link named 'Invoices Not Integrated to GL'.
     11.- PROBLEM: The column Budget Status will always display as blank.

The Budget Status column seems irrelevant, taking screen space, and confusing Users who would think that at some point in time, the transactions should display some values, but never doing it.

If the Budget Status column will never display an actual value besides blank, due to the functionality delivered and logic in place, then this column should be removed from Online Classic and Fluid Billing WorkCenter for the 'Invoices Not Integrated to GL' feature.
