E-CLOUD: After Upgrading to Cloud Manager 18, Unable to Clean Up the PUM Source or Delete PUM Environments. Error: Invalid value for "vars" parameter: vars map does not contain key (Doc ID 3039077.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading to Cloud Manager (CM) 18, cleaning up the PUM (PeopleSoft Update Manager) Source used for the upgrade or deleting other PUM environments fails.

The below error can be found from the tf.err of the REMOVE process in the logs:

 

local.windows_cred_instance_1[0m is object with 2 attributes
Invalid value for "vars" parameter: vars map does not contain key



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Perform the self-update process for CM.  Navigation: Cloud Manager Settings tile > Manage Updates.
2. After the upgrade is done, click on the 'Clean Up' button to remove the PUM Source image.
3. Notice that the clean up fails. Also, deleting other PUM environments fail.
