ERS: Service Order(SO) Status Table RS_SO_STATUS is Wrongly Updated When Assignment Linked to the SO is Updated. (Doc ID 3047817.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 23, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Resource Management - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When quantity of any SO is fulfilled, the SO status changes to 'Closed' and it inserts a row with 'Closed' status in RS_SO_STATUS, including a timestamp when the SO is closed, and creates an assignment for it.
If we later modify the assignment dates, a new row with a new timestamp is getting inserted in the RS_SO_STATUS table.

Steps:
1. Create a Service order for a Project. Ensure that SO has end date set to any date before Project end date.
Resource Management > Request Resources > Create or Review Service Order
2. Create an Assignment and link the above service request.
      Resource Management > Assign Resource
3. See the RS_SO_STATUS for the SO. SO with Complete Status has been entered.
4. Update the end date in the assignment to project end date
5. See that new row for the SO with Complete status has been entered again.
