FAPLBOG1 Fails When Loan Program Is Run In MSSQL Database (Doc ID 3048288.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run the Loan Origination process on an MSSQL server database, the following error occurs.

FAPLBOG1
Application Program Failed
In Pgm Section : DELETE D-INVALPR
With Return Code: 08623
Error Message : [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server][SQL Server]Incorrect syntax near 'A'.
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server][SQL Server]Statement(s) could not be prepared. (SQLSTATE 42000) 8180
Error W/FAPLBOG1 @ 15:18:03.75 !

 The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid > Loans > Process Loans > Loan Origination. 
  2. Review FAPLBOG1 Cobol .log file to see the error.
