Symptoms
On most pages, viewing page source code returns accessibility related errors such as the sample shown below.
According to WCAG 2.0 standards, each ID must be unique within a page. When there are multiple elements with the same ID, it can cause issues with styling, scripting, and overall page functionality.
This causes accessibility problems for assistive technology users. The issue can be replicated by logging into PIA (PeopleSoft online application), and viewing most page sources mark up (PAGE “TIME”, PAGE “TIME” -> “ABSENCE BALANCE”, PAGE “Legal Services”, etc...).
