On the Graduation Processing Component, the Same Run Control ID Created by An Operator is Accessible By A Different Operator Who Creates the Same Run Control ID Name (Doc ID 3049622.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 24, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Student Records - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When running Graduation Processing (SSR_GRAD_RPT), only one version of any single run control id is available for all users who may run the process. The run control page is SSR_RUNCTL_GRADRPT.  Records SSR_RC_GRADRPT andSCCPS_RUN_PARM are used on the page.  These records are saved for one  OPRID at a time.

When one user creates a run control, any other user who creates a run control value with the same name will use the run control created by the first operator.  Each user should be able to create their own run controls, with the same name and have the run control values unique to the operator.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Records and Enrollment, Graduation, Graduation Processing;
  2. Add a new run control id, populate the parameters, and save the component;
  3. Have a different user sign in and create a run control ID with the same name as the first operator;
  4. The second operator will see the first operator's run control values already populated;
  5. The second operator should modify the run control id setup;
  6. Query SSR_RC_GRADRPT and SCCPS_RUN_PARM and note there is only 1 row for the run control id, with the second operators values being the last values populated on the record.
