Accessibility: Academic Advisement Audit Header Numbers Jump From H2 To H4 (Doc ID 3051330.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 03, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Academic Advisement - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Within the Academic Advisement audit, the headers (within the audit) jump from a heading of #2 to #4. All #4 headers should be labeled as #3. When the headers jump from 2 to 4, users using a screen reader have difficulty understanding where they are in the audit. While this does not limit functionality, it does not meet required accessibility standards.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the advisor center.
  2. Select View data for other students.
  3. Enter ID or search by name.
  4. In the Advisor Center, use the drop-down under the "Other Academic Information" and select "Academic Requirements" (which is the Academic Advising degree audit).
  5. Observe the heading issues when the audit launches.
