EBI 9.2: Finalization Process (BIIVC000) Marks Interunit Bill With an Error “Inactive Chartfield Has Value” Where One of the Chartfield in a Bill Points to Different Setid (Doc ID 3062559.1)

Symptoms

 

Finalization process (BIIVC000) marks bill with an below error, when creating an InterUnit Invoice in Billing where TableSet Sharing for at least one ChartField used on BI_LINE_DST is setup to point to different SetIDs for the GL BU.

REPLICATION STEPS:
---------------------------
 For replication make sure one of chartfield is setup to point to different SetIDs for the GL BU 9 PeopleTools > Utilities > Administration > Maintain Tableset control)
1. Create invoice under BU XXXX using customer XXXXX,   Billing > Maintain Bills > Standard Billing > Add a New Value
2. Click on the Bill To Unit icon on the Header – Info 1 page
3. Populate with the Bill To GL Unit and click OK.
4. Go to the Line – Info 1 tab and populate the Identifier, Description field, Quantity, Unit of Measure and Unit Price, then click on the Refresh button.
5. Click on the drop down menu and choose Acctg – Rev Distribution. Enter appropriate chartfields.
6. Click on the drop down menu and choose Acctg – AR Offset. Chartfields will default.
7. Click on the drop down menu and choose Acctg – InterUnit EXP/INV. Chartfields will default with the Bill To Agency chartfields.
8. Go to the Header – Info1 tab and set invoice to RDY, then click SAVE
9. Run the Finalize bill Process. Go to: Billing > Generate Invoices > Non – Consolidated > Finalize and print
10. Notice process BIIVC000 (Finalize bill) marks bill with an above error.
