Goal

Definition Security, also known as Object Security, can be used to restrict user access to particular queries. It can be configured so that users have 'Display Only' access or no access at all.

In PeopleTools 8.1x, if Object Security is configured for a particular Query the user will get an error: "You are not authorized to access the Object query".

In PeopleTools 8.4x, if Definition Security is configured for a particular Query the user will get an error: "You are not authorized to access the Definition query".
