Symptoms

When trying to create a new schedule for an employee the application is throwing an error stating Alternate Schedule id is required, though you do not use "Global Payroll" and "Absence Management".

As per the peoplebooks, the Alternate Schedule Detail tab is displayed only if core Global Payroll or Absence Management are installed and selected on the Installation Table – Products page. However, you are receiving the error on Alternate Schedule id though you do not have these options selected under your installation table.

STEPS TO REPLICATE
--------------------
1. Navigate to Manager Self Service > Time Management > Manage Schedules > Assign Work Schedule.
2. Choose an employee and insert a new row for schedule change. Select the Assignment method as "Select Predefined Schedule" and select a Schedule Group and Schedule Id.
3. When you try to save the system throws an error message.

ERROR MESSAGE
-----------------------
Alternate Schedule ID is required (13502,327).
An Alternate Schedule Id code must be entered when not using the default value
