Symptoms

After successfully install and configure ESD (Email Sending Daemon) when attempting to start the Email Sending Daemon Windows Services it fails.

The stdout.log was producing the following error:

org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext listenerStart
SEVERE: Exception sending context initialized event to listener instance of class com.siebel.sem.esd.integrated.OnPremiseAppListener
javax.xml.stream.FactoryConfigurationError: Provider javax.xml.stream.XMLInputFactory could not be instantiated: java.lang.InstantiationException
