List Import Job Does Not Import After Upgrade (Doc ID 1148993.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading to 8.1.1 or higher, List Import Job completes but no Prospects are imported.

Step To Reproduce it:

1- In the application, navigate to Administration - Marketing > Import

2- Create an Import Job and add the relevant Job Import information. Please refer to Marketing User Guide > Managing Lists > Importing External Data and Creating Data Mappings

3- Click in "Activate" to run it.

4- Go to the Job Status view Tab to monitor its execution

5- Once the process completes, go to the View related object being imported to check for the data imported. For example if importing Prospects then go to the Prospects View under List Management Screen.

Changes

List Import framework has changed in Siebel 8.1. In versions of Siebel prior to 8.1 (7.5, 7.7, 7.8, 8.0) List Import was driven by a server component called "List Import Service Manager".

In 8.1 and higher List Import runs Workflow Processes driven by the Workflow Process Manager component.
