Purpose
Explains how Bounce Handler Daemon (BHD) component process the bounce email messages in Siebel 8.x Email Marketing Server solution.
Scope
The document covers how BHD receives email bounce messages and parse it in order to identify the Bounce Type and Bounce Reason Code and update the corresponding Siebel Marketing Campaign list status.
Audience for this document are all customers working with Siebel Email Marketing Server and processing asynchronous bounces email messages coming from external Mail Transfer Agents (MTAs).
