Email Response Using POP3 Protocol Fails To Connect Using An Office 365 account? (Doc ID 1662777.1)

Symptoms

Internet SMTP/POP3 Server driver is not able to establish a POP3 session with an Office 365 account to pull email from it and create activity records in Siebel Application.

After configure Internet SMTP/POP3 Server driver and use sslcnapi.dll provided by Siebel Strong Encryption Pack, the following error occurs:

EMR_Log GenericError 1 000009ee52de17b0:0 2014-01-22 16:50:25 Unable to connect to POP3 server outlook.office365.com on port 995
GenericLog GenericError 1 000009ee52de17b0:0 2014-01-22 16:50:30 (sissslimpl.inl (616) err=1181201 sys=0) SBL-NET-01553: Failed to establish SSL connection.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Configure Siebel Email Response
2. Configure a Internet SMTP/POP3 Server driver profile to connect with Office 365 Email Server.
3. Start the Siebel Server running CommInboundRcvr
4. Internet SMTP/POP3 Server driver tries to connect to Office 365 account using POP3 protocol on port 995, but it fails.
