Impossible To Export And Import Promotion Groups With All Entities (Doc ID 1929796.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 28, 2022

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version 8.1.1.11.9 [IP2013] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Issue Summery:

After testing the export and import of promotion groups, we found following issues with the integration object "ISS Promotion Group". It means not all entities which are defined in the promotion group administration are exported or imported:

1.) IC "ISS Promotion Group Member Components":
Here the field "Product Line Id" is defined. As the row-id of every product line is different in two environments, this could be a problem. So "Product Line Id" should be inactivated.

2.) IC "ISS Promotion Group Membership Access Rules":
the Integration Component Key is only defined to "Access Type". As it is possible to define more than one membership and to define to every membership an access rule with the same access type, these access rules couldn't be imported. Only the last access rule would be rest after import. So the field "Membership" should be added to the key!

3.) IC "ISS Promotion Group Membership Messages"
this IC is not active, so membership messages are not exported. Perhaps it was inactivated because there are some errors in it and it hasn't worked. But if you inactivate the field "PG Membership Id" and do the same in the Integration Component Key it will work.

4.) IC "ISS Promotion Group Product Rewards Messages"
this IC is not active, so reward messages are not exported. Perhaps it was inactivated because there are some errors in it and it hasn't worked. But if you inactivate the field "PG Membership Id" and do the same in the Integration Component Key it will work.

5.) IC "VORD Compound Product Rule Parameter"
this IC is not active, so validation parameters are not exported. Perhaps it was inactivated because there are some errors in it and it hasn't worked. But if you inactivate the field "Product Rule Def Id" it will work. A product rule without parameters is useless.

6) Integration Object Property "AllLangIndependentVals"
This property has the value "N". But when you export a promotion group, the XML uses 2 integration objects. First for the product part "ISS Prod Def ImpExp" and than "ISS Promotion Group".
As in "ISS Prod Def ImpExp" the Integration Object Property "AllLangIndependentVals" is "Y", my opinion is that the same should be at IO "ISS Promotion Group".

Note: Issue is occurring in Siebel 8.1.1.11 PatchSet 10
