SetAttribute Method Of Siebel Product Configurator Is Erroring Out In Siebel 8.1.1.11. (Doc ID 1965125.1)

Symptoms

Statement of Issue:

SetAttribute method of Siebel Product configurator is erroring out in Siebel 8.1.1.11 when the corresponding attribute is not present in the asset structure. This behavior is not reproducible in previous releases.

Steps:
---------
Create a product structure where you have at least two child products. Associate with these child products attributes at least one enumerated type. Create a configurator script to use setAttribute method to adjust these attributes. For one of the child products that contains an attribute that is adjusted by this script set its default to be 0 so that is it not automatically added to the hierarchy structure when the parent product is added as a line item.

Then under account summary initiate a new quote. Add this customised product as a line item. Use Auto-Order to create an order. Ensure that the product is an Asset based product select track as asset in its definition. Set the individual products in this line item to complete and select the autoasset button.


Back in the account summary try to modify this order.
