F9 With External Email Client Causes A Extra Pop Up Window With IE 11. (Doc ID 2062944.1)

Siebel CRM - Version 15.0 [IP2015] and later

Symptoms

On : 15.0 [IP2015] version, Comms Server & Email Response

F9 with external email client causes a extra pop up window with IE 11.

Press F9 and selected the required templates and recipients.
It pops up a new small window when moving from Siebel to Lotus notes.

The same issue appears is default email client is Outlook.

The functionality works fine for Chrome and Mozilla browsers, the issue only appears for IE11.

Navigation to the webpage was canceled
What you can try:
Retype the address


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Select a account and press F9.
2. Select recipients and template and click ok.
3. Outlook/Notes window comes up and small pop up comes as well with error message as Navigation Canceled.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users gets additional unwanted pop up in siebel.
