Siebel IP16 XE Sample/Local Database Installation Fails on Post-Install Configuration (Doc ID 2187505.1)

On : 16.0 [IP2016] version, Installation

Siebel IP16 Client XE Sample database post-installation failure

Installing Siebel IP16 patchset 4 Developer Client and Tools, the client and tools install fine with patchset 4, but when installing the XE sample db it fails on the post-installation step.


Error occurred in the post-installation of Oracle Database XE installation

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Invoke installer using the setup.bat within the install directory of the Siebel image
2. Choose the option to install the XE sample database
3. Installer shows that an error occurred in the post-installation of Oracle Database XE installation, while logs do not indicate any errors at all.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot install sample XE database without this error
