Alarms For Appointment Created in Activities Views Not Popping Up After Upgrade to Siebel Innocation Pack 2016 and Later Versions (Doc ID 2206715.1)

Symptoms

The customer is reporting a problem where the Alarms created in the activities view are not popping up in the application after Upgrade to Siebel Innovation Pack 2016.

The behavior is also observed for customer Upgrading from prior Innovation Pack 2016 to latest Siebel CRM Update such as 19.x as part of Siebel CRM Continuous Release Model introduced in Siebel CRM 18.6 monthly updates.

The behavior can be reproduce with following steps:

  1. Login to Siebel

  2.  Navigate to Activities screen

  3. On Activities List Applet create a new activity and set following columns:

    1. Planned Start to some time in the future (remind that User Preference > Calendar > Alarm Lead Time = 5 min. by default)
    2. Duration = 10 minutes
    3. Alarm = Checked
    4. Description  = Alarm Test

  4. Wait for the Planned Start - 5 minutes timestamp to be reached, no Alarm pop up.
