Unexpected Query Being Executed When Business Object Context Is Lost (Doc ID 2277215.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 21, 2022

Applies to:

Siebel Communications CRM - Version 16.6 [IP2016] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The object manager is crashing when it is already using lots of memory and is close to its limit (platform dependent). On Linux platform the crashes usually starts to happen when the process size is above 3.5 GB, other OS platforms have different limits.

STEPS

1. From View1, the user triggers a server process (BS/Workflow) which executes a view navigation to View2.
2. The object manager then receives a "delayed" request that was originally (validly) invoked from View1 e.g. method WriteRecord.
3. Request for View1 is executed in the new context of View2.
4. The object manager issues an unbounded query on the driving BC and a large number of database fetches are observed.
