Last updated on FEBRUARY 04, 2019

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version [IP2014] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Customer wants to know if there is an option for keeping autocomplete off for sensitive fields or forms in Siebel.

Problem Details:
The application did not set the autocomplete attribute to “off” on the login page HTML elements. Autocomplete off missing in the login page form and the username field.

<form name="SWEEntryForm" method="post" action="/epublicsector_enu/start.swe" >
<input type="text" name='SWEUserName' value='' tabindex=1 size=10 maxlength=100 autocapitalize=off autocorrect=off title="User ID" id='s_swepi_1'>
<input type=password name='SWEPassword' autocomplete = "off" tabindex=2 size=10 maxlength=100 title="Password" id='s_swepi_2'> </form>

Is it possible to control autocomplete feature through Siebel for specific Pages/forms/elements?
We know it can be done through browser settings but user can always change and moreover it will impact everything that is opened in the browser.
