EAI HTTP Transport - Outbound WS Call (Client Authentication) IP2017 When Passing HTTPCertSerialNo and HTTPCertAuthority Headers On Linux Platform (Doc ID 2398907.1)

Symptoms

 

The instructions in this KM article applies ONLY up to Siebel 23.10. From Siebel 23.11 onwards, the instructions/steps in this KM no longer applies.

Starting with Monthly Update 23.11, Siebel application has only one solution for SHA2 support for Outbound Web Services that works in both Windows and non-Windows environments as illustrated below. This is to configure the [EAI OutBound Subsystem] = OUTBOUNDSHA for both Windows and Linux/Unix environments. Please follow the below KM Doc ID 2226450.2 for instructions on Siebel 23.11 and above for both Windows and Linux platforms:

In particular, follow the instructions in tab [VIII. Setup SHA2 Certificate for 23.11 and above] of the KM Doc 2226450.2

 

The below steps and instructions are applicable up to and including Siebel 23.10 only:


Siebel 2017 is set up to integration with an external system that uses https protocol, so the correct Certificate is in TrustStore and Key in Key Store.

When invoking the 'EAI HTTP Transport' service in Siebel 2017 and passing parameters HTTPCertSerialNo and HTTPCertAuthority, along with other required information, the following error occurs:

Error Error 1 000006595ad21893:0 2018-04-17 14:44:01 Scanning the certificate store.

Error Error 1 000006595ad21893:0 2018-04-17 14:44:01 Could not find the certificate: certificate authority "CN=CN_VALUE Enterprise Certification Authority 05 G2,OU=OU_VALUE,O=O_VALUE,C=US", serial number "4bfe3f010000000a27d5" in store, error code 80092004


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Call the Business Service "EAI HTTP Transport" via Business Simulator

2. Passing following Input parameter
