IP17 Upgphys Process Failed On Data Dictionary Error - The Key Index For Encrypted Column Can't Be Empty (Doc ID 2429096.1)

Symptoms



When attempting to upgrade the DEV database schema from IP2014 to IP2017 (Upgphys) the process exited with below errors:

ERROR

2018-07-16 12:05:54 Loading the Siebel dictionary...
2018-07-16 12:06:07 Message: GEN-10,
Additional Message: Calling Function: DICGetColumns; Called Function: The key index for encrypted column can't be empty

2018-07-16 12:06:07 Message: GEN-10,
Additional Message: Calling Function: DICLoadDict; Called Function: Calling DICGetColumns

2018-07-16 12:06:07 Unable to load dictionary data.
2018-07-16 12:06:07 Error in DDLDictStartApis function..
2018-07-16 12:06:07 (logapi.cpp (184) err=1 sys=2) SBL-GEN-00001: (logapi.cpp: 184) error code = 1, system error = 2, msg1 = (null), msg2 = (null), msg3 = (null), msg4 = (null)

The above error is returned when ddldict is executed with the following options:

/siebel/dev/ses/siebsrvr/bin/ddldict /u sadmin /p ***** /c SBA_17_DEV_DSN /d siebel /f /siebel/dev/ses/dbsrvr/oracle/schema.ddl /e y /a y /l /siebel/dev/ses/siebsrvr/log/upgphys_dev_82214/output/sch_dict.log /n "New Customer Repository" /T DCIR
