"Task UI Service (SWE)" With Method "ToggleTaskPane" Hangs Siebel Application. (Doc ID 2493355.1)

Symptoms

The Customer business requirements use a custom Script code with the Business Service "Task UI Service (SWE)" and the "ToggleTaskPane" method to open and close the TBUI Task Pane.

This functionality was working as expected on Siebel IP14.18 but after migrate to Siebel IP16.19 or later version, for some reason when the "ToggleTaskPane" method is invoked to close the TBUI Task Pane, the Oracle spinning icon take around 30 seconds or more, causing the Siebel App to hangs for that time but after that everything works fine.


 

Steps to reproduce the issues:

1. Open Siebel OpenUI.

2. Go to Sitemap > Administration - Business Service > Simulator.

3. Create a new simulation with BS "Task UI Service (SWE)" and method "ToggleTaskPane".

4. Click Run and the Task Pane will display.

5. Click Run again and the Task Pane will close but the Oracle spinning icon take around 30 seconds or more causing the Siebel App to hangs.

 

NOTE: It is no official support to open and close the Task Pane with this "ToggleTaskPane" method but in some case scenario it can be use in a custom Script code to open and close the Task Pane.
