Intermittent Gateway Connectivity Issues with error 'Too many open files" (Doc ID 2620861.1)

Symptoms

Siebel application is not able to connect to gateway intermittently.

The below error is observed in cloudgateway.log

[ERROR] 2019-10-23 14:01:40.577 [Thread-5] CG_LOGGER - com.siebel.opcgw.cloudgateway.CGServer: Server Listen Failed :Too many open files
[ERROR] 2019-10-23 14:01:40.580 [Thread-5] CG_LOGGER - com.siebel.opcgw.cloudgateway.CGServer: Error : Too many open files
