Schema Service is automatically selected when choosing any of the following Migration Application plan resources:

• Application Workspace Data Service
• Design Repository Data Service
• Increment Repository Data Service
• Runtime Repository Data Service 

It is not possible to selectively choose what DDL change is going to be processed, but under certain circumstances Siebel Administrator may want to postpone the Schema Service physical modifications on the database or request for DBA to take care of them.
