Importing JSON File Into Siebel Tools 20.8 Fails With Error "SBL-EAI-04117: HTTP Request error during '<?>': '<?>'" (Doc ID 2709557.1)

The following instructions apply to Siebel 20.8 - 21.2 versions only.

Siebel 20.8 has introduced changes and enhanced features to Outbound REST API, one of which is to support Java 64 bit JRE for Siebel Tools, where Siebel Tools will connect to the Siebel SES applicationcontainer during JSON file import.

   "Siebel CRM 2020 TOI: Siebel REST API Outbound Framework Enhancements Functional Overview"

• In 20.8 version, Importing JSON file in Siebel tools is throwing error "Errors during processing: Cannot connect to the server(SBL-EAI-04115)" (Doc ID 2707030.1)

   Instructions from Doc ID 2707030.1 are followed to configure tools.cfg file to use [JAVA64] subsystem to specify the SES applicationcontainer CONTAINERURL parameter and URL value. However, when importing the JSON file, it generates the error:

   Check the $SIEBEL_HOME/tools/LOG/siebdev.log file content, it should indicate that the below lines are captured while Importing the JSON file with error. A sample entry is as follows:
