Column COMPILED_OBJ_DEFN In S_RR_WORKFLOW Table Is Empty After Workflow Process Is Delivered To MAIN Workspace (Doc ID 2715428.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 07, 2023

Applies to:

Siebel Workflow - Version 20.8 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After upgrading from IP15 to 20.8 it was found that a couple of Workflow Processes were duplicate in the 20.8 Siebel Repository. Meaning that the same Name and Inactive = N and Status = Completed were found.

In order to avoid issues with duplicate Workflows as described in After Upgrading Siebel DB to IP 2017 or Higher When Delivering an Existing Workflow Which Has Multiple Workflow Versions, It Fails With Error SBL-DAT-00381 (Doc ID 2368349.1), duplicates found in the 20.8 Repository were manually Inactivated.

After delivering the Workspace to MAIN, the COMPILED_OBJ_DEFN column in S_RR_WORKFLOW table was empty.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create a Dev Workspace

2. Locate the duplicate Workflows

3. Set Inactive = "True"

4. Deliver the Workspace to MAIN

5. In the Database, check the value of the COMPILED_OBJ_DEFN column in S_RR_WORKFLOW table

Version_Num: 0 is the record migrated from previous version

Version_Num: 7 is the new record created during Workspace "Delivery"
