Siebel LDAP Authentication Fails With "SBL-SEC-10006 The authentication system cannot find the user with the specified username" Error Post LDAPSecAdpt Setup (Doc ID 2737041.1)

Symptoms

After setting up LDAP Security Adapter (LDAPSecAdpt) with LDAP/AD parameters to connect to the LDAP or AD server, the Siebel LDAP application does not come up and following errors show in the Application UI:

The Server you are trying to access is either busy or experiencing difficulties.

In the LDAP Object Manager log under $SIEBEL_ROOT/siebsrvr/log (Windows) or $SIEBEL_ROOT/siebsrvr/enterprise/enterprisename/siebsrvrname/log directory, ObjMgr*.log shows below errors:

SBL-SEC-10006: The authentication system cannot find the user with the specified username. Please check that you have entered the username correctly or contact your system administrator for assistance.
Login failed for Login name : XXXX

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1. Setup Siebel environment with LDAP authentication by setting up LDAPSecAdpt profile to connect to LDAP/AD server
2. Setup any LDAP user as the anonymous user name.
3. Check to see if the LDAP authentication is successful.

Changes

New set of LDAP (OR) Changing security mode from DB to LDAP.
