Symptoms

Performance issue when message broadcast functionality is used. 

The evidence of the issue is captured in Siebel Application Object Manager log:

 

If executed frequently this long running SQL query can cause high concurrency waits at database level. In some cases this will lead to Production unusable scenario.   

The impact is higher when S_BRDCST_MSG table is not maintained and contains numerous rows.

 

Changes

 Enable or use message broadcast functionality for long time.
