CommInboundRcvr Component Log File Increasing Fast With A Lot Of Error Messages (Doc ID 2738974.1)

Symptoms

CommInboundRcvr component is generating a lot of error messages when processing inbound email messages.

This is process by a custom eMail Response workflow cloned by "eMail Response - Process Message" where there is a custom step Send Acknowledge Email that calls a custom business service "Send Mail Service SR" method "Send Mail".

The following entry can be observed on the CommInboundRcvr log files been logged very frequently:

CommSrvr CommSrvrError 1 0000066a5fba1824:0 2020-11-25 03:04:15 Message template syntax error, token [THREAD ID: [Case Num].

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Send an email to be processed

  2. CommInboundRcvr pull the email and error message above show up in the CommInboundRcvr component log files

  3. The error is causing large CommInboundRcvr log files been created no the Siebel Servers.


 

Changes

New custom Email Templates have been introduced and some customization made added to eMail Response workflows
