Siebel Anywhere: Client Customer Revisions Upgrade Kit Failing with error 'SBL-DCK-00203: Unable to find upgrade kit path to upgrade component Siebel Client Customer Revisions' (Doc ID 2744922.1)

Symptoms

Siebel Remote / Replication / Anywhere - on version: 15.12 [IP2015]

On a Test / Development environment, while trying to use Siebel Anywhere for setting up and distributing a Client Customer Revisions kit, an error is returned:

SBL-DCK-00203: Unable to find upgrade kit path to upgrade component Siebel Client Customer Revisions. Please contact your Siebel Administrator or try again.


The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Prepared a simple batch file to delete a specific file from client machine. (+Tested this script is executing fine when ran direct on client machine).
2. Chosen an Upgrade Kit comp i.e "Siebel Client Customer Revisions" and prepared a Upgrade Kit by providing UNC path of executable file
3. Distributed Kit and tested sync.
4. See the error upon synchronization.


Due to this issue, Mobile users cannot apply the Upgrade kit deployed..
This could delay the deployment of this feature for Production users.
If this is not available to be distributed upon synchronization, additional IT/Helpdesk support may be needed to deploy and run such scripts on each and every Remote client computer.
