Symptoms

Existing Business Service Browser scripts does not work after Siebel Server Restart.

Developers have to redeploy them again by making a small change, for example in comments and delivering it.

Behavior is was reproduced in Old Browser Script (19.10) and New Browser Script Architecture (After 20.8)

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Step 1
1. Create a new dev ws (ws_dev_01)
2. Create a new BS with some browser scripts. Let’s name it “BS Test 1”
3. Add the following user property to the application: ClientBusinessServiceXX = BS Test 1
4. Deploy the ws_dev_01 into MAIN
5. Login into the application and by inspecting the HTML in the browser verified that the “BS Test 1” browser script has been included --> OK!
6. Restart Siebel server.
7. Login into the application and by inspecting the HTML in the browser verified that the “BS Test 1” browser script has been included --> OK!

Step 2
1. Create a new dev ws (ws_dev_02)
2. Create a new BS with some browser scripts. Let’s name it “BS Test 2”
3. Add the following user property to the application: ClientBusinessServiceXX = BS Test 2
4. Deploy the ws_dev_02 into MAIN
5. Login into the application and by inspecting the HTML in the browser verified that both the “BS Test 1” and “BS Test 2” browser scripts have been included --> OK!
6. Restart Siebel server.
7. Login into the application and by inspecting the HTML in the browser verified that  the “BS Test 2” browser script has been included but not the “BS Test 1” --> NOK!
