Symptoms

Error on changing the case status from In Progress to Update Required

SBL-SVC-00149: You do not have the privileges to change the value of field 'Case Status'


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps

1.Enable state model for Case business component by adding the following business component user property

Create a new business component user property with the following properties:

For the Name column, enter a value of State Model.
For the Value column, enter a value of Y.

2.Navigate to the Administration - Application screen > State Models view. Create new record for business component Case and field Case Status.

3.Define the state and transitions for Case Status Field for values 'In Progress' and 'Update Required'

4.Clear cache and login to the application

5.Create new record in Case Screen, change the status to 'In Progress'.

6.From 'In Progress' status, change the value to 'Update Required' .Error is displayed even though transition is available

' from 'In Progress' to 'Update Required'

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Enable state model for Case business component
2. Define the state and transitions for Case Status Field
3. Clear cache and login to the application
4. Record with case status as 'In Progress' cannot be changed to 'Update Required' even though transition is available

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
:No cases are being progressed leading to delay in business operations
