After Apply Monthly Update 21.2 or higher on Siebel CRM On A Unix Machine Running Both Siebel Gateway and Siebel Server Siebel Web Client Shows A Blank/Empty Screen (Doc ID 2767231.1)

Symptoms

On Siebel CRM 21.2 or higher on a Unix machine (Linux, Solaris, AIX) with Siebel Gateway and Siebel Server installed, after starting the Siebel Gateway and the Siebel Server when accessing the Siebel Web Client a blank screen show up.

The behavior can be reproduce with following steps:

1) Apply Siebel CRM 21.2 Update on the Unix server running both Siebel Gateway and Siebel Server.

2) The new MDE installer will create a new folder structure for the Siebel Gateway and Siebel Server.

3) Login the the Unix machine and startup the Siebel Gateway and Server as follow:

4) Open a terminal to the Unix machine and login as the user used by Siebel Application.

5) Navigate to Siebel Gateway Root Folder/applicationcontainer_internal/bin and startup Siebel Gateway Container, for example:
[siebel@linux bin]$ cd /siebel/gwy/applicationcontainer_internal/bin
[siebel@linux bin]$ ./startup.sh

6) Navigate to Siebel Gateway Root Folder/gtwysrvr and source the Siebel environment variables and start the Gateway services, for example:
[siebel@linux gtwysrvr]$ cd /siebel/gwy/gtwysrvr
[siebel@linux gtwysrvr]$. ./siebenv.sh
[siebel@linux gtwysrvr]$ start_ns

7)Navigate to Siebel Server Root Folder/applicationcontainer_internal/bin and startup Siebel Gateway Container, for example:
[siebel@linux bin]$ cd /siebel/ses/applicationcontainer_internal/bin
[siebel@linux bin]$ ./startup.sh

8) Navigate to Siebel Server Root Folder/siebsrvr and source the Siebel environment variables and start the Gateway services, for example:
[siebel@linux siebsrvr]$ cd /siebel/ses/siebsrvr
[siebel@linux siebsrvr]$ . ./siebenv.sh
[siebel@linux siebsrvr]$ start_server all

9) Wait several minutes until the Siebel Gateway and Siebel Server initialize, assuming that Siebel Application Interface is already running too, call the Siebel Web Client URL on a browser

10) The Siebel Login Page show up, enter the credentials

11) After login the user got only a blank screen, for example when using Blue Sky Theme the user see only this:

 

 

Another symptom was observed for some customers updating to Siebel CRM 22.1:

1) Environment is update to Siebel CRM 22.1

2) Siebel user enter the credentials on Siebel Login page

3) User get the following errors "We are unable to process your request. This is most likely because you used the browser BACK or REFRESH button to get to this point.(SBL-UIF-00335)" on Home page screen:

 

4) The Siebel Application Object Manager log files show the following error message too in loop until the user close the Object Manager sessions:
