Copy Paste Image And Tables In Siebel Email Body In Outbound Communications Is Not Working In Chrome Browser (Doc ID 2769469.1)

Symptoms

When editing an outbound email either using F9 or Reply the user is not able to copy and paste images and tables from MS Excel or MS Word or MS Outlook into the outbound email body.

It is expected to Siebel users be able to paste to the email body using copy and paste functionality.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Login to Siebel Application, the F9 can be invoked from Home Page.

2. Click on F9 to send an email using HTML mode, the Send Communication Applet show up.

3. Open a Excel/Word document with a table or image and copy it to clipboard

4. Right click on the email body or select Paste icon on HTML Editor toolbar nothing happens, objects in clipboard are not paste in the email body.

NOTE: The behavior can not be observed when using Firefox, only in Chrome browser has the problem.
