When Product eConfigurator Is Invoked From a Custom Workflow, Clicking "Done" Crashes It In "ResumeInstance" Step (Doc ID 2817991.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 23, 2023

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version 8.1 [21039] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When invoking Siebel eConfigurator from a custom Workflow Process, clicking in "Done" button crashes the Application Object Manager session.

The changes are saved but session crashes.

The following unmangled callstack is generated:

The SIS OM Edit Order Line Item WF is called from a custom workflow to land directly on product configurator page. After clicking Done/Cancel the WF is getting resumed and it is performing all the actions until the end step. However, later in the process the control is not getting returned to the Custom WF.

The application crashes at this point.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Have a Custom Workflow similar to "SIS OM Edit Order Line Item" WF
2. In the custom Parent WF add a sub-process step to invoke "SIS OM Edit Order Line Item" WF to land directly on Product configurator when processing an Order.
3. Create a new Sales Order
3. Go to Line Items
4. Add Product as Line Item
5. Select Customize and select Products
6. Select Done Button in eConfigurator.
