Siebel Webserver (AI) Outage with Error 504 Gateway Time-out Due To CLOSE_WAIT (Doc ID 2821095.1)

Symptoms

One out of the two AI (webserver)  which are load balanced using F5 is not accepting the connection . It is erroring out as - 504 Gateway Time-out  when user try to access the application . 

 

 There are  over 7000+ CLOSE_WAIT connection on AI Port  ( 9004 in this case )

Replication Steps

-1. Launch application https://<AI host>:<AI port>/siebel/app/<applicationname>/<lang>

Example: https://loclahost:9004/siebel/app/callcenter/enu
