Symptoms

A custom BO/BC was created that mapped to the List of Values business component table. Then, a custom IO is created against this in order to do queries on LOV values using Inbound REST API call.

When using the custom LOV IO in the Inbound REST API call, it starts an EAI task but causes the EAI task and EAI OM component to crash. As a result, it then also returns a generic message to the external application that made the REST call.

There are 2 errors involved with this issue:

1. First, the call causes the EAI task and EAI OM component to crash, with the callstack.txt file showing the following:
