Different Behavior of "Update Dashboard" Method in IP 2015 And 22.x Patch Update (Doc ID 2880517.1)

Symptoms

Unlike in Siebel IP 2015, "Update Dashboard" method of "Persistent Customer Dashboard" service in Siebel 22.2 patch update, customer dashboard is not refreshed immediately.

Steps to recreate the issue:

1. Login to Siebel Application and navigate to Accounts Screen.

2. Capture ROW_ID of an existing Account. If no Accounts exist, create a new Account and note down the ROW_ID

3. Import custom Business Service

4. Navigate to Business Service Details, access custom Business Service and update the Script to replace ROW_ID with the one captured in step #2 above.

5. From the Application Menu, select View --> Update Customer Dashboard to bring the corresponding display on the screen.

6. Navigate to Business Service simulator, access custom Business Service and run it.

7. Notice the information in Customer Dashboard is not updated, unless and until either browser is refreshed, Customer Dashboard is closed and re-opened or navigate to another screen in Siebel application.
