Last updated on OCTOBER 20, 2022

Applies to:

Siebel Call Center - Version 22.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The Persistent Customer Dashboard is invoked from a custom PM JS file and it's not loaded the first time when the view is displaying.  The behavior occurred after upgrading the Siebel application from IP 15 to 22.5.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps in Siebel 22.5 and later patch update:

1. Create a custom PM JS file with the following function under \ai\applicationcontainer_external\siebelwebroot\scripts\siebel\custom folder:

2. Log into Siebel application, navigate to Administration - Application >

Manifest files > create a new record:

Name: siebel/custom/CCLSalutationAppletPM.js

3. Navigate to Manifest Admin and create a new record for Salutation Applet

(WCC Home) to register the js file

a. Under the UI object list applet, create a record:

Type: Applet

Usage Type: Presentation Model

Name: Salutation Applet (WCC Home)

Inactive Flag: N

b. Under the Object Expression applet, create record:

Level: 1

c: Under Files applet, create a record:

Name: siebel/custom/CCLSalutationAppletPM.js

4. Log out from the application

5. Log back to the application and it lands on the Home view with Salutation Applet (WCC Home)

6. The Persistent Customer Dashboard doesn't show up

7. Refresh the home view, now the dashboard shows up

Changes

The environment was upgraded from Siebel IP 15 to Sibel 22.5.
