Prefix Re: Getting Appended in Subject Field Every Time the Email Message is Replied

Symptoms
Re: Getting appended in mail Subject field every time the message is replied.
Whenever an outbound email is replied from Siebel under Communications screen, Re: is getting appended to the subject. If an incoming email already has a Re: prefixed to the subject, an extra Re: is added each
time email reply is done from Siebel.
1) Navigate to Communications Screen
2) Select an inbound HTML Email Message with Subject = "Test"
3) Select Reply button for the Email Message and the Subject of the reply message is now "Re: Test"
send the email.
4) Message is back to Communications screen and Click on Reply Again.
5) The Subject field now is "Re: Re: Test".
