Dynamic Drilldowns Not Working In Open UI Calendar (Doc ID 2911067.1)

Last updated on MARCH 16, 2023

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version 22.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Post upgrade, whatever calendar field is clicked, Siebel always uses only the first drilldown, always navigates to the activity details view. However, this issue can be seen in 22.6 even without upgrading.

The issue can be replicated at will with the following steps:
Web Tools:
1. Create a new Integration workspace under Main (int_sadmin_test).
2. Create a new Developer Workspace (dev_sadmin_test) under int_sadmin_test
3. Select Applet from the Siebel Object Explorer
4. Query for CS CG Activity HI Calendar Applet
5. In the Object Explorer, expand the Applet tree, and then click Drilldown Object.
6. In the Drilldown Objects list, create a new record using values from the below screenshot.

7. Add the Opportunity value to Display Field Drilldown Object Names, Display Fields and Drilldown Object Name for CS CG Activity HI Calendar Applet

Call Center:
8. Log in to Call Center
9. Navigate to Calendar -> Action List
10. Add a new entry containing Opportunity
11. Try to drilldown on opportunity inside the calendar entry

There are some user properties called "Drilldown Object Name" and "Display Field Drilldown Object Names" which are used to define which calendar fields should be displayed in the calendar and to define which fields use which drill-downs.
Using these user properties, we configured Siebel to use a different drill down for each field. example:
Clicking the activity type will navigate the user to the activity details while clicking the Household name will navigate the user to the Household Detail View and clicking the Opportunity name will navigate the user to the Opportunity Detail View.

Changes

Upgrade from IP13 to 22.6 Siebel version.
